Following a successful launch show this February, Maruti will be back for SS16 edition of INDX Womenswear &  Footwear this August

Maruti shoes are simple but significant: clean designs, striking fashion prints and high-quality leathers.

Maruti’s roots lie in the Netherlands; in rural Weert, to be precise, surrounded by fields and water. This is the ideal location for inspiration and with lots of freedom to experiment.

"A small, dedicated team is working on the collection. From marketer and designer to intern, everyone thinks and creates together – like one big family. Our motive is simple: we 'just' want to make beautiful shoes! Both in design and quality"

Every season, we let ourselves be inspired by trends that we incorporate in new materials. We experiment a lot with new processing techniques for our materials in close collaboration with tanners from Italy. New materials and shapes development are the starting point for each collection. You’ll never know what we will do next!

Because we work with natural materials, laborious painting techniques and experimental washings, not one pair is exactly the same. This makes each pair of Maruti’s unique."

In 2010, Maruti introduced the ‘Gimlet’: a women’s shoe made from hair on leather, with an animal or fashion print, named after the cocktail of the sophisticated twenties. Because of the clean design, the furry look and statement prints, the Gimlet quickly attracted attention among the fashion in-crowd. As well as the successful animal prints, each season Maruti also add new fashion prints to the collection: storm splashes, metallic drops and dots.

Matruti deal consciously with leftover materials, creating other products, such as bracelets and belts.
